Your story is a great one. I was only 13 when I realized that piano playing could be one of my greatest talents, but I never had the guts to take the first step in that direction. I was so afraid of being rejected by my friends and family that I didn’t even dare show myself to the piano teacher. I got hooked on music not in a fun, intellectual way because I wanted to be one of the guys in the class. If I had the courage to play, I thought, I would be one of them!
So I thought I had to learn piano at 17 or 18 to survive. Then one day I played in a school concert and they played a song about me. I’d never even been to that school before, but the teacher was so excited about having me play that she asked if I played the cello. Oh my gosh I am so glad to finally see a cello in one of my lessons!
So that’s what we’re doing! We’re working on making our sound a little more “traditional” (at least we hope), but not totally traditional. But our sound is what’s most important! It really just
