The Advertiser pays the Company for these spots, but there may be a cut made if you choose to use a third party or to advertise more than once.

In the case of YouTube, you get your “Ad Credits” from having a good YouTube channel. You will have been approved to use those Ad Credits, but if not, you will be able to purchase additional Ad Credits for the cost of the Ad. Again, there are a few options available:

You can pay a flat sum for Ad Credits for the rest of your video production or

If you already have your YouTube channel with plenty of views and viewers, you can pay more to increase the level of exposure.

Paying for an ad: how much does it cost?

If you’ve read my articles on YouTube monetization and paid channels, then you already know what the advertising cost is, but we’ll explain how much pays off.

What pays off

Here is how you have to think about the cost:

A video with 15-30 seconds needs around $0.15-$0.20 to be produced.

30 seconds videos are around $0.30-$0.50 to produce, if it’s on-demand from the start.

You can get around 50 seconds of revenue per video by hiring a pro (and getting them to get paid for it) or by buying one or more ad slots, but it’s hard to do in a quick way since you have to create a video, and you have to promote to someone else to do so.

For instance, if you get a 30 second video on YouTube from two different clients and send them both a few pieces of information on what you’re making for them, you can sell them around $50 for an ad slot.
