As a beginner, we recommend you start small, at a minimum, at a price of $25 per 10 minutes, with any more money going towards other features if you need them, like more scenes, audio, etc. You can even charge for larger projects in the future if you want to.
You can even increase this and charge more if you ever decide to start a business or develop some other interest, but a good starting point is 5$ – 10$ for each 10-15 minutes.
A note about price: we’re a small, startup-minded studio, so when you have new clients to work with, especially if they don’t have any other resources at their disposal, we’d never be able to deliver quality results if you charged too much.
5. How many clients and how much can I expect them to pay? How much does my budget go towards?
Our typical rate is a little more than 1,500$ per month for a couple staff members. As a small studio, it is extremely important to be able to handle this number of clients.
The best way is to set up a budget with you clients and give them a specific timeframe (usually 6 weeks) for the completion of the production. You can set the rate based on your budget estimate and get a rough idea of how many clients you need to handle in order to reach the budget.
Once you set up that budget, you don’t have to worry about paying the extra money for a lot of extras like audio, background music, etc. They can be a luxury just to have them or they might be more of a burden than they’re worth.
6. What are my payment options?
There are two main options to choose from right away: via PayPal or a credit card.
When you set the price for your work, you will only need the first option, which is a $9.95 non-refundable application fee. Once the application fee is paid, you can use your credit card to pay for the rest.
The application fee should be used for all the necessary fees at once: printing, shipping, licensing, etc.
For the second option, you need to submit your application in installments which also cost $ 9.95. During the application process, you can apply the additional amount on the order form where you’ll add any other fee you want to include into your application.
