Well, here’s a good general rule of thumb: If you’re a 12 or older, you should start at the age of 11. However, if you’re under 7, you can usually get started any time. If you’re an 11 or older, you’re not in a position to buy a violin. But that doesn’t mean you can’t join in the fun and learn a little something at a time. The beginner’s violin lesson is a great way to do just that.
7. Where do you go for lessons?
Well to be honest, there are a few options in my area – and lots of opportunities outside. You can check out my recommendations for other cities here:
Where’s my local violin teacher? Here are a number of other violin teachers around the United States who might be a good place to start looking for lessons:
So you’ve decided to go to a violin lesson, but where do you go? There are tons of places you can go to learn a violin (or any musical instrument), so this post will only touch on the ones I personally recommend. My two cents? I would go to a classical music school or a community college school for a little more immersion into the culture, but not too bad. Once you’ve gotten your feet wet at a professional level, you’re ready for more advanced lessons…and learning a few basic violin parts is key to getting the hang of it. You also benefit from more of a personal connection to a teacher than a classical school or community college.
I’m going to start this post by saying that this is NOT my final review on this item- the first post I’m writing can be found here!
My friend Ashley started this project last week and I’m so glad she did. I bought this item as a gift for a girl that she met on a Tinder date. I really liked the look of the dress and wanted to do it for myself but didn’t know if she’d like it. Ashley was kind enough to send back a dress that she already got from H&M (not a terrible place to start for something like this, right?), gave me the instructions, and gave me a few extra tips that I thought were relevant. Ashley even has some photos for me to help with the look, and I’d like to credit her for a great effort! So here is the picture I took in the comfort of our living room!
