It’s not your typical game. Its rules are based on a combination of traditional board games and games with very different rules sets, such as Monopoly, Boggle, and even more sophisticated versions of Settlers of Catan that require players to understand the economic value of different areas of the board. Tic-Tac-Toe is inspired by the classic “Tic-Tac-Toe” game, a game that became a staple in elementary school for those who wanted a game to win with.
There are three different versions of Tic-Tac-Toe.
The original version from Tic-Tac-Toe’s creators is what you can play today.
The new version is a modified game, that includes three additional players to play (two to four players at the same time).
The most current version (as of July 2016) is a new game, that uses a much more complex scoring system for players to try to complete as many Tic-Tac-Toe tiles as possible (as in Settlers of Catan).
Official Tic-Tac-Toe Rules
The Official Rules for Tic-Tac-Toe are for the original version of the game (the first version of the Tic-Tac-Toe Rules that went into production).
If you want to add a new version of the rules to your print and play, you can download the official rules for Tic-Tac-Toe for $15.00 (US). Once you print it out, just cut and paste the text into one of your printers or send it via email. Make sure you send the text as an attachment so that it is not cut and pasted. The link at the bottom of the page takes you to the online version.
