If you plan on performing at a club or performing a show, you will inevitably receive advice from people about your move. A lot of people ask you to get the dance moves down and make sure to follow the dance in order.

This is a bit tricky, as it is very important to know what is ‘OK’ and what is not.
Do you need to be an expert to make good sound?
Is it OK if you can’t dance it up or down, too far side to side or too high up? Or are there different steps you could be doing incorrectly? Is it OK for you to do them a bit funny?
Do you have to take your clothes off with your dance?
Do you have to wear high heels? Or heels that will just show off the fact that you may look like this, in high heels?
Do you need to be more confident or less confident?
Do you need to be more confident than you are in order to dance it?
Do you need to be able to make your dance look like it’s a very well put together affair?
Do you need to be able to give directions to your dance partner in order for them to follow through in order to get into the correct rhythm and get into the final dance well-rooted?
Do you need to be able to get your dance partner on the dance floor in a way that will support your own and your partner’s dancing without distracting the dance floor? Do you need to keep the attention of those around you moving forward as well? And, especially, you need to know that each of these things are important for good dance.
Is it OK to dance your dance in the club or off? Is it good if the dance is mixed in with a show and/or if it involves some sound?
Do you have to be a showgirl dance? Or is it not ok if you’re dancing in a different type of show like a bar or club? If you’re dancing at the bar or nightclub, then you need to be in the show.
